Friends Kitchen in 3D: Bringing TV Magic into Revit

Friends is my favorite TV show, and I used my creativity to understand and transform this iconic kitchen into a 3D model in Revit.

I love observing kitchens in movies and TV shows I think this is my favorite hobby. When I sit on my sofa, I like to watch and imagine: “How can I model each piece of furniture and decor in Revit? How can I connect the colors and dimensions with my technical skills?”

This is always my starting point before beginning any modeling in Revit.

At first, I had no clear idea how the dimensions and proportions worked. I found a simple floor plan on Google with basic measurements and used it as a reference to start my 3D modeling in Revit. After that, I began creating the cabinet families and adjusting each proportion. For this step, I watched many videos and analyzed reference images to understand the dimensions of doors and drawers and how they connected within the space. I also added Revit families for decoration, including food items, cups, plates, appliances, and furniture.

This exercise type helped simplify the process for studying BIM and use my favorite hobby for create funny models in Revit.

My suggestion for you, use creative in whatever context you want to simplify learning.
